The Parish Council have been made aware of a consultation by East Staffordshire Borough Council regarding Local Government Reorganisation (LGR).
East Staffordshire Borough Council, alongside 5 other southern Staffordshire authorities, have jointly proposed the creation of a Southern and Mid Staffordshire Unitary Authority.
As part of this, they have now launched a survey to gather views on their proposal. The survey is open until 1st September 2025. It can be found here – https://online1.snapsurveys.com/shapingstaffordshire.
Regardless of which district you are in, this impacts the structure of local government in your parish. So, we would encourage residents to take part in any LGR consultation in Staffordshire.
